Tuesday, August 16, 2011, 6:00 p.m. Board of Supervisors Chambers, Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport The community is invited to participate in an informational meeting regarding organization of the Konocti Regional Trails Team. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at the Lake County Courthouse, located at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport. The County of Lake adopted the Konocti Regional Trails (KRT) Master Plan in January 2011. The KRT Master Plan is designed to provide the guiding framework for the development of Konocti Regional Trails, a countywide network of non-motorized trails. The Plan was prepared in coordination with numerous community volunteers, the County of Lake, the National Park Service (Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program), and Alta Planning and Design. While the County will assume primary responsibility for oversight and support of trail planning, development, and management of the trails system, community involvement is paramount in establishing a trails system, and absolutely critical in the implementation of successful trails projects. The next step is to create the Konocti Regional Trails Team (KRTT) as described in the Plan. The KRTT will consist of approximately 20 designated members with representation from land managing agencies, community groups, local businesses, and other key interests. The team will include co-chairs, one from the County and one from the community. The KRTT will focus on overall trail system and project-level planning outreach, with objectives including but not limited to:
